The Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative’s Sr. Staff Attorney, Kelli Case (Chickasaw Nation), was featured in ProPublica, which was picked up by several regional news outlets. Case discussed the impacts of the rescission of the Local Food Purchasing Assistance (LFPA) program by the current administration. This program allowed Tribes to tailor their food distribution programs, which Case said makes a huge difference.
