Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Leadership Summit
The Next Generation of Food and Agriculture Leaders
The Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative’s youth programs help educate and engage the next generation of Native agriculturalists. IFAI looks forward to hosting the Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Leadership Summit (July 19 – 26) and the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Policy Leadership Program (July 24 – 26).
Summit attendees will develop skills, learn alongside industry experts, and have an opportunity to dive deep into one of four different areas of food and agricultural production or policy:
Agricultural Business and Finance
Land Stewardship and Conservation
Agricultural Law and Policy
Nutrition and Health
Participants in both programs will learn about agricultural policy, including policy issues unique to Indian Country, as well as participate in a model student congress designed to mirror a real House or Senate agriculture committee.
Applications have closed for 2022, but check back in early 2023 for the next round!
