Josiah Griffin

Program and Policy Specialist




Josiah, Native Hawaiian, is a Program and Policy Specialist for the Indigenous Food & Agriculture Initiative, bringing over five years of experience in analyzing Tribal implications of federal policy and supporting increased access to agricultural resources.

Prior to rejoining the Initiative, Josiah served as trustee liaison for the Native American Agriculture Fund, where he provided recordkeeping and technical support for the Board of Trustees. He previously served as a program and outreach specialist for the USDA Office of Tribal Relations, promoting tribal considerations in (inter)departmental initiatives and federal trust responsibilities.

Josiah earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in agricultural leadership and development, focusing on communication. He is currently a candidate in the executive masters of business administration program at the Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas.
